Achieving more together
The aim of the technical committees and workgroups of Safety Network International e.V. is to discuss viewpoints, define standards and formulate recommendations to support users of SafetyNET p and SafetyBUS p within the scope of their application.
More planning reliability
Automation technology is developing from centralised control systems into widely distributed systems that
place increased demands on communication. More and more data is being exchanged directly between the network
In order to address this challenge effectively, the technical committee looks at the infrastructure aspect. One outcome is the technical guide, which shows the user aspects that support them when planning their SafetyNET p application.
More investment security
The issues of access and manipulation protection, and especially its availability on networks and
installations, are preoccupying plant automation specialists worldwide. The challenges are wide-ranging and
need to be analysed and addressed individually for every intended application.
The focus is on preparing various white papers on issues covering the broad area of security. Users are introduced to the subject of security and are given tips on how to apply it in practice.
More security for the future
As a user organisation we promote innovation. The implementation of SafetyBUS p and SafetyNET p interfaces is
one component in promoting the systems.
As well as workshops for interested member companies, the working group prepares service packages and documentation. In this way we provide ongoing implementation support for manufacturers.
